Inspiration Sunday

Watercolor painting from Icelandic Folktales, 

Lady of the Mountain, the personification of Iceland.

Watched the movie Godland, set in Iceland. It fit my mood which was a misty overcast day with no sun. A beautifully shot austere movie that is about a priest who is also a photographer. He moves from Denmark to Iceland to build a church for a small community.

The Haunted Marsh

The rabbit resting under the shade of a tree. A robin hopping across the grass looking for worms. A great blue Heron flying overhead bypassing our little pond. A ghost standing in the marsh pointing to the sky. 

Reminds me of the 1961 movie with Debrah Kerr "The Innocents" based on the book the "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James. 

A gothic ghost story were the children are possessed by ghosts. 

The marsh always reminds me of the scene in the movie where a ghost dressed in a Victorian dress stands among the cattails and reeds staring at the governess and children.
